Pickled brass, unmarked but known to have beeen manufactured by Hemsley, very crisp detail, measuring 30 mm x 32. 8 mm, intact lugs, extremely fine. Footnote: The Battalion was raised in Manitoba with mobilization headquarters at Winnipeg under the authority of G. O. 69, July 15, 1916. The commanding officer of the Battalion was Lieutenant Colonel E. C. Pitman. The
