I'm not always a huge fan of the brown glaze but in this case think it's really beautiful

and what looks to be a fingerprint on the negative preserved right there

comes with a laid paper wrap printed with the letter "K" from the set

There is a round bit nailed to the inside of one hand

so was happy to find this migrated pelican the other day in Maine

Doubly Lovely: Victorian Tinsel Painting of Flowers in Original Shell Decorated Frame from Bristol, Maine Georgian I'm not always a hugeI found this one in southern Maine this week and it is PERFECT. (Photos might suggest it is very small, but it is in fact quite substantial, and heavy, and feels very much an object with that really excellent seashell frame, shells on solid wood, with gold painted sides.) I do believe the frame is original to the tinsel reverse glass painting, all in beautiful condition, without a shell missing. And I have to say this is about as elegant a tinsel
