Description
finishing long and earthy
Pierre Rovani has raved about this wine in the past
Long and interesting
Mild wood influence sets off a highly complex nose comprised of fresh red currant and blue pinot fruit aromas that are liberally laced with warm earth and a sauvage hint that carries over to the relatively refined and supple yet entirely serious
This elegant effort is coming along very nicely and it has reached a stage that could certainly be enjoyed now but for my taste I would allow this another 4 to 6 years first in order to develop a bit more depth as well as broadening the finale
Tour Haut Brion Vintage:2004 finishing long and earthyFull bodied, tannic and on the masculine side fo the style range, with 2 hours in the decanter and some effort, wet earth, tobacco, cedar chest and tobacco notes begin to emerge. Still young, perhaps 5 more years in the bottle should allow the wine to soften and develop its aromatics.
