The old handmade fence-type construction reminds one of old feather Christmas tree fences

12 7/8" wide x 10 1/4" deep (11 1/4" including handle) x 6 1/2" tall

6" wide x 5 3/4" t x 5/8" d and signed (carved) with the initials MT on reverse

which I spotted from across the room yesterday in New Hampshire at an antiques shop that every once in a while delivers a treasure and am quite tempted to keep for myself

all from one piece of wood

And of course carved books of all shapes and sizes and colors are always the thing. This miniature one carved of pink stone with lots of gray marbling is not an especially fancy one, but it has a well carved form, with recessed pages and a nicely curved spine
