dating to (and dating the train car I believe) to the 1930s or so

with the iron hearts making a useful surface for scraping shoes and boots across

and though made of wood one really wants to snuggle him

staining/toning as evident

Lovely Vintage Studio Pottery Weed Vase in Mottled Blue-Purple Glaze early miniature 7 7/8" t x 4"I know more of you look to me for folk art and curious things than for pottery, but I'm a great lover of functional studio pottery vessels, and a firm believer in the power of a lovely pot, with weed bud vases my favorite of all forms. And what a pretty and serene one this is, almost perfectly round, feeling like a gulp of sky. In excellent condition, a sort of soft blue purple, with some mottling to the glaze and a bit of variation on one side.
