I at least find it an extraordinary evocative image, all the more so for the "Corners, Tuesday Aug." written in pencil at the bottom, and really want to know the whole story of this man's life. I assume he is training a dog (?) to jump through the hoop he holds so tightly in one hand, with his other hand so perfectly poised it kills me.
