Description
Based on the characters on the bottom of the stamp
but I think likely early 1980s
in his long mustache and tall black boots
that one dated 1919 and this one I presume from around the same time
and one other flaw I only noticed in the process of taking close up photos
Kingfisher, 1905 Ink and Crayon Drawing by J.H. Adair, Spring Grove, PA folk art paper weaving Based on the characters onI purchased this and several more drawings by the same maker from a seller in Pennsylvania, where they originated, the work of a J. H Adair of Spring Grove, PA, who signed a few of them and dated a couple 1905. These are the sorts of drawings that get me excited; I couldn't snatch them up fast enough pure joy, and you may know by now I've a special fondness for naive bird drawings, all the better identified with a title, and carrying a fish in mouth!
